Since the mid 90's I have had severe back disorders, and had one major surgery in 1998. I left my work in 2005 and went on full disability. An MRI examination showed that none of my discs were any good. I have suffered with pain each and every day. Rather than putting a pillow behind me when I sit in my recliner, I purchased this backrest and find it to be very helpful. My legs are short, and I have troble sitting back in my chair. This products helps me to sit properly and to releive some of the pain while sitting. It is not a cure, but it has provided some comfort that I have missed for many years.
